Missoula Impact in Denver for V Tool Colorado Summer Invitational

DENVER - The Missoula Impact Baseball Club transitions to its summer season of elite out-of-state club competition, participating in the V Tool Colorado Summer Invitational tournament this week in Denver.

Impact opens on Thursday evening at All-Star Park in the Lakewood area with a stiff test from the hometown USA Prime Four Corners 18U team. The second day includes a tilt with the 970 Sun Devils from the Fort Collins-Greeley area. Missoula plays Marucci Elite Texas from the Lubbock area on Saturday. Bracket play begins on Sunday morning.

The tournament and its showcase on Wednesday will be attended by over a dozen colleges including New Mexico State, University of Northern Colorado, Air Force, Regis, Colorado Christian, Colorado School of Mines, and other notable programs. In addition, V Tool has an incredible online presence with over 2,000 college coaches, recruiters, and scouts connected virtually.

Colton Little, Impact Baseball Director of Operations, previously coached the elite Denver Slammers 17U club that featured Walker Martin, a second round pick of the San Francisco Giants in the 2023 MLB Draft. Little secured access to the Slammers’ amazing facility in Broomfield for the Impact players to have intensive pre-game hitting sessions on Thursday and Friday. The competition this week will be high-end and challenging for Impact’s young squad featuring some key Class of 2026 and Class of 2027 players. However, it’s a great opportunity for Missoula kids, as Little puts it, to “play big boy baseball” on some splendid high school and college fields in baseball crazy metro Denver, experiencing a taste of high level prep baseball.
